Spaghettoni quadrati con polpettine di tacchino/Square spaghetti with turkey meatballs

I find these square spaghetti with turkey meatball sauce to be an alternative to classic spaghetti with meat sauce, with the difference that it takes less time to make the turkey meatballs than the meat sauce!
Let’s start with the turkey meatballs, taking some ground turkey and adding 1 egg, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper, then mixing everything together. Form the mixture into small balls (the smaller the balls, the more flavorful the sauce will be), roll them in flour, and then cook them for a few minutes in a little extra virgin olive oil.

Once cooked, place them on a plate. Meanwhile, boil the water for the spaghetti. In a pan with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, sauté chopped onion, carrots, and celery, then add your turkey meatballs. Cook for a few minutes with the lid on, then add tomato sauce and a little broth. Cook your sauce with the turkey meatballs over low heat. Season with salt and pepper. Once the spaghetti is cooked, drain it and place it in a large bowl, then add your fantastic turkey sauce. Mix and serve! Don’t forget to sprinkle some Parmesan cheese on the finished dish!

Buon Appetito!!
